Porcelain Tea Set, Sextuplet

Sold Out

Brew tea in this classic lantern-shaped tea pot and you will enjoy every bit of the process from its visual appeal, to its lightness in the hand, to the enjoyment of the final beverage. In the Chinese tradition, tea is usually brewed in small pots like this one, and then decanted into a pitcher before serving. The advantage of this method is that you can enjoy the evolving character of the tea as the leaves brew in several successive waters. When each brewing is complete, the pot is emptied into the pitcher to stop the steeping and to rest the tea for a few minutes. This consolidates the flavors before the liquid is finally poured into individual cups to serve and enjoy. This pleasant teapot is coated with an Asian charcoal-gray glaze and has a smooth look and feel, with some vertical lines towards the base for pleasant accents. The interior is white, flecked with brown, and adds a sense of balance to the set. Six matching cups are included, making this set perfect for family use or for entertaining.
